We have a great team of children on our Eco Committee. Many have done the role before and have helped us to gain awards towards our school Green Flag.
In 2010 we gained our Bronze Award and in January we were awarded the Silver Flag Award from Eco Schools.
We are actively working towards our Green Flag - a prestigious award from Eco School that shows we care for all things 'green'! We even get to fly a Green Flag from the school roof! Read below for more details on how you can get involved and help us make our school a 'greener' place to be.
OUR ECO COMMITTEE:

Our committee meets every third week and talks through our action plan to see what we need to do next. The meetings for this term are:
ECO SCHOOLS
To find out more about what we do take a look at the website for Eco Schools Wales, which included information about the awards we have already been given and the ones we are working towards:
GENERATION GREEN
We have joined up to a web site called Generation Green, run by British Gas and we can collect 'leaves' for doing Green things, like a Walk to School day, recycling paper and plastic, running a wormery, growing fruit and veg and even using outdoor spaces for lessons. You could help school gain extra leaves by taking part in the online quiz and supporting us in 'Green' events. So far we have collected enough 'leaves' for 2 Cycle Racks, meaning that children in Year 6 who cycle to school will soon be able to use the racks and store their bikes safely. The website address is:
ECO CLUB
Mrs Agrane runs an Eco Club each Autumn Term. Come along in September to find out about all the exciting things we do, from making bird feeders to recycling Christmas cards.
